This is a real story of a man who, in search of himself, comes to the fact that he becomes a priest. Stuart Long was a college football player in his youth, then a boxer, but after surgery on his jaw, he was forced to retire from this traumatic sport. His mother dreamed of seeing her son as an actor, and he mastered this profession, but soon abandoned it. Then for seven years he was the manager of the museum. He even managed to work in a supermarket, where he met a girl named Rosa, a staunch Catholic. Soon, as a versatile person, he himself began to be interested in religion, and after a terrible motorcycle accident, Long, rethinking his life and considering the accident as a sign from above, becomes a Catholic priest. At the same time, he learns about a terrible diagnosis - myositis with inclusions, a slowly progressive disease of skeletal muscles. Despite his illness, Long continues to work as a priest. He is greatly assisted by his father Bill Long, who is always there. The image of Stu's father is shown in the film as a man who passionately believes in God, but at the same time, mundane and ordinary, even allowing foul language. Stu's father dies on June 9, 2014 at the age of 50.
