The film opens with Mavis and Jonathan getting married. After the arrival of Jonathan's family, the family gathers to take photos (in which Mavis and Drac are, ironically, not present as they are vampires) and the wedding takes place, with both humans and monsters in attendance. During the reception, Dracula dances with Mavis and asks her if this is what she wanted. She replies that everything is perfect, and Drac adds that as long as she is happy, he will be happy. Mavis soon invites Drac to fly with her. Since they haven't flown together in a while, Drak agrees. During Hide and Seek with Clouds, Mavis suddenly slows down. She then reveals the real reason why she wanted to act - she is pregnant with her first child. Drac is ecstatic and immediately begins preparing for the baby, assuming he will have a vampire baby. Nine months later, baby Dennis is born. We soon see him grow up and eventually start playing with the other monsters in the hotel, especially the werewolf children. Drac insists he be a vampire, but Mavis plays with the idea of him being a "normal" human child. Shortly thereafter, while we see Dennis, 5, Jonathan teaches the rest of the hotel residents how to use social media and text on mobile phones. Right after Drac has learned nothing, we learn that Mavis is considering leaving Transylvania for the human world with her family. Dennis is probably not a vampire, as he is about to be five years old and hasn't developed fangs yet.
