Nine times in a row, the fighters of the Outworld have defeated the warriors of Earth in the Mortal Kombat tournament. If the earthlings lose for the tenth time, then the planet will be captured by the Outside World. The sorcerer Shang Tsung, one of the leaders of the Outside World, decides to play it safe and, without waiting for the start of the tournament, begins to destroy the chosen fighters of the Earth.
