Tessa has a hard time parting with Hardin. Closing her eyes in the evenings, she sees the happy moments of their past: reading books in the evenings, talking on serious topics, cooking dinner together.
Until recently, it seemed to her that she was happy and ready to live with this person until old age. But the terrible truth broke her heart. While Young battled prejudice and went against her mother to build a future with her loved one, he hid a terrible truth. In fact, Hardin did not want any relationship, for him it was just an argument. But every day that Scott recognized the girl, he fell in love with her more and more.
Over time, he was afraid that Tessa would find out everything and hate him. This is exactly what happened. The girl was left alone, trying to collect the pieces of her broken heart. In an attempt to forget and escape from unsuccessful relationships, she plunges headlong into work. The main character was lucky, because they agreed to take her for an internship at the leading publishing company Vence. Now Young disappears from morning to night in the office, reading manuscripts and doing small errands. Her new friend Trevor and Kimberly's secretary help the girl to join the team. Thanks to the help of these people, Tessa was able to look at the world with different eyes and start a new life.
But the moment she was ready to let go of the past, Hardin himself reminded of himself. He could not get his loved one out of his head, spending the day with the phone in his hands, waiting for the coveted call. Scott was able to find the strength to apologize for his act. After much thought, Young gave him a second chance. Now they got back together and returned to that little apartment on the outskirts of the city, where they had once been truly happy. But this time it's different.
Tessa is no longer that naive freshman, and Hardin is not the bad boy who's interested in a one-night stand. They have changed and are ready to build new relationships based on complete trust and mutual understanding, but will the heroes be able to converge in the third part of the movie "After"?
