They are the children of the atomic age, supermen, a new link in the chain of evolution. Each of them was born as a result of a unique genetic mutation that endowed them with unusual abilities from childhood. In a world dominated by hatred and prejudice, mutants are a quirk of science and a freak of nature. These outcasts are hated and feared by those who are unable to understand and accept their individuality. And yet, despite the ignorance and aggressiveness of the masses, thousands of mutants survive.
Under the guidance of Dr. Charles Xavier, a world-famous telepath, the gifted students learned to control and manipulate their amazing abilities in the interests of humanity.
But not all mutants share the views of the professor: the powerful mutant Magneto, who is subject to all metals, has assembled a team of like-minded people. He does not believe that humans and mutants will ever be able to coexist peacefully. They devised a plan to carry out the takeover of the world, and then only the students of Professor Xavier will be able to protect this world.
