A better world is the place where those who behaved worthily in earthly life go after death. Eleanor, the heroine of the series, is clearly not one of those, she fully deserved to be in the "Bad World", but after her ridiculous death she ended up in Paradise. Realizing that this is some kind of mistake, the girl is trying to earn a place in the Better World, but it is very difficult to give up her earthly habits! Even considering that she is not the only one of the sinners who ended up here by mistake.
