The events of the fantastic multi-part tape unfold in the small North American town of Chester's Mills, in which life flows systematically calmly in the routine of everyday life. Therefore, all residents have no idea about the impending disaster, the scale of which will reach the state level with the involvement of all special services and the military. The town suddenly covers the opaque dome of the force field, which the locals are trying to overcome, faced with multiple tragedies. People in panic fear try to break out of forceful imprisonment, and burn out in front of their compatriots, leading people to greater hysteria, fear for the lives of children and relatives.
Barbara, who works as a cook and fought in the Iranian desert, gathers under her command a group of strong, not indifferent citizens. Armed, these people are trying to free everyone from inevitable death, because no services can get into the fenced area. Consequently, food and drinking water, which have always been supplied from other regions, will soon run out. The arriving military tried to blow up the ball with a powerful weapon, but desperate attempts to free people were unsuccessful. The trouble rallied people inside, they tried to help each other, sharing everything necessary for getting used to. Although there were completely indifferent townspeople who were only interested in their own well-being. The incident helped everyone to open up, showing previously unseen sides of characters, uniting completely outsiders and separating loved ones. Gradually, the nature of the emergence of the dome begins to become clear, and, consequently, the methods of struggle to eliminate it.
