The action takes place in the 26th century AD. After the global war, the world was divided into two parts - the Heavenly City, where the elite live, and the lower garbage city. One day, Dr. Ido finds the remains of a cyborg girl in the garbage, repairs it and names it Alita. It turns out that Alita is fluent in the techniques of combat cyborgs, but does not remember anything from her past at all. Alita has to find out who she is and what was her destiny.
