Rascal Stan Carlisle makes a living as a magician-medium on street shows. Tempted by money, he is drawn into a real crime - he promises rich clients to call their deceased relatives to contact. Carlisle entrusts the role of the resurrected daughter of an old millionaire to his wife, who turns out to be too sensitive and honest for such an adventure.
