The Darker the Lake (2022)

In a small Austrian town, several murders happened one after another, which shocked the public. Local police detective Tamara Fisher takes over the investigation. Her partner is assigned to a specially sent detective Lucas. He heard a story about a mysterious fire 30 years ago that took place here, which claimed the lives of several teenagers. The only surviving girl told with horror that before the tragedy they played a strange game "The Deliverer". Lucas is sure that the new crimes are somehow connected with the events of the past.

However, Tamara considers this to be nothing more than a local urban legend. The fact is that that unfortunate surviving girl is her mother Lea, who after the incident was treated in a psychiatric hospital for a long time, and now she is completely blind.

Soon, another murder occurs in the town, and the detectives cannot ignore the strange coincidences.

To stop the deaths, Tamara and Lucas decide to unravel the sinister history of the game that took place 30 years ago. At their disposal is a video cassette with the interrogation of young Leah.
