King Harold suddenly died, and now the giant Shrek is forced to become the king of a far, far away country. Shrek respects the family traditions of his wife Fiona, but does not really want to rule the country, and therefore sets off with Donkey and Puss in Boots in search of a new king. But while Shrek is looking for King Arthur - another heir, Prince Charming is plotting new dirty tricks.
