When FBI operative Ethan Burke, in the mystical film Wayward Pines Season 3, was given the task of collecting all available information about the strange disappearance of two employees, the hero takes on this seemingly simple task without hesitation. Moreover, the office knew where the partners went and what case they were working on. So Ethan did not foresee any complications in the work, the only thing that worried him was that one of the missing agents was his mistress, with whom the hero had a long relationship, although the man had a wife and a child.
Following in the footsteps of a missing couple, Ethan finds himself in an awkward situation. Moving along the track through a dense forest, the character suffers an accident, fortunately avoiding death on the road. In search of help, the hero goes to the nearest settlement, which bears the rather strange name of Wayward Pines, hoping to find support from the local authorities there and contact his leadership. The man was made the most favorable impression of getting to know the town, located in a picturesque area, in the middle of centuries-old pines, and he decides to linger a little in this area, especially since it soon turns out that the people he is looking for are also in this settlement. The only problem is, one of the agents died, and his mistress, now works as an assistant to the local sheriff, and, what is more strange, absolutely does not remember Ethan, and how she ended up here. A little later, Ethan is faced with even more unusual oddities in this city.
