The story is dedicated to the harsh struggle of law enforcement officers with the leaders of a criminal gang. The action is transferred to the territory of Birmingham. Events unfold in the first half of the last century. In the center of the story are bold and arrogant brothers named Shelby. The oldest of them was the eccentric Arthur, who leads the formed gang and tries to keep control over the rest of the guys. He prefers to think that he is the leader and is fully responsible for everything. In reality, the criminal gang is run by Thomas. He wants to legalize a family business that brings a solid income. But every time something prevents him from realizing his plan.
Thomas had to participate in a military confrontation. For several years, he watched his comrades die. Gradually his heart turned to stone. A handsome man stopped believing in bright feelings and assumed that he was not worthy of love. Everything changed after meeting with the dazzling beauty Grace, who conquered him from the first seconds. The charming chosen one worked in the city pub. The clever gangster was determined to conquer the lovely lady. The situation escalated when Inspector Campbell appeared in the town.
