Richard is an introverted programmer who lives in the "Hacker Hostel" - a hacker incubator - along with the imposing Gilfoyle and the ironic Dinesh, on the condition that they give him 10% of the projects they implement. An in-depth look at a microcosm of Silicon Valley, the global digital hub and dot-com billionaires. A very cruel and ruthless universe, which Richard, a reserved and shy genius programmer, comes to know first hand. The guy, thanks to the algorithm he created, will become a bone of contention between the two central "players" of the market: Peter Gregory, an antisocial and half-crazy billionaire genius, and Gavin Belson, Peter's wealthy rival. Trying to avoid both, Rich decides to start his own company with colleagues Kaffir Ehrlich and a couple of talented but troubled developers.
