The crew of the ghost ship "Black Pearl" kidnaps the governor's daughter Elizabeth, as only her medallion is able to break the evil curse that turned the sailors into the living dead. The blacksmith Will, who is in love with her, and the pirate Jack Sparrow set off in pursuit - one to return love, and the other to return the ship.
