Former paratrooper Jake Sully receives an offer to travel to the distant planet Pandora, where a rare mineral is mined. The problem is that Jake cannot walk after being badly injured. But it can be solved due to the so-called Avatar - a clone endowed with the qualities necessary for survival on an inhospitable planet, which can be controlled through a special interface. Arriving on Pandora, Jake is more and more immersed in her life, and after a while realizes that an alien planet and life forms have become more important to him at home.
