Former CIA agent and now morose drunkard John Creasy is hired to be the bodyguard of the daughter of industrialist Samuel Ramos. However, the girl was soon kidnapped for ransom. Creasy, strongly attached to the baby, goes on the warpath. The performer of the role of the kidnapped girl, 9-year-old Dakota Fanning, had to learn the piano, swim and speak Spanish for the film.
