Oilman Bill Baker works on an oil rig in Oklahoma. Suddenly he receives news from abroad that scares him. Allison, Bill's adult daughter, with whose mother he has long been divorced, is charged with murder. The girl has lived in Marseilles in recent years, but her father is not able to believe that her daughter is capable of a cruel crime. The father goes to France to help his daughter.
